Proverbs 17:17

Proverbs 17:17
"A friend loves at all times, a brother is born for adversity."

It is very hard to find a friend who will love you constantly. It feels like it is too good to be true. A friend who loves you at all times? A friend who is like a gift to your life, a marvelous blessing? Further, it states a brother is born for adversity, which I believe depicts that you are to love your friend in the midst of his harsh conditions, misfortune and calamity. You were born to sympathize with your brother and sister (friend) in times of war. You were BORN to comfort, to encourage, to increase, to build, to impact, and to give hugs. It is a PURPOSE!  I dare you to do some introspection. Are you a friend to your friends? Are you living this scripture out loud?! Examine the persons that you are quick and daring to call friends today. He is bones and flesh, with energy and short-comings, comes with cries and laughter. Do you love him  at all times?
This scripture also reminds me of Jesus Christ. His breath alone will revive you again, and makes you feel whole, loved beyond human actions and words. He exemplifies the ultimate love and friendship. The lover of all lovers, there is no greater love like his. He is the MASTER at loving you. He is the EXPERT at demonstrating how to love. He is the PHYSICIAN at practicing love. He is the TEACHER who showers you with exciting ideas about love, without circumstance.

He loves you for everything and at all times! I passionately want to be like him, whatever it takes. If we settled for Gods way of LOVE, then I promise you that this world would be so much nicer.

Today is Valentine’s Day, worldwide, and I personally do not “celebrate” this occasion, with my own convictions and reasons. Yet, I am grateful today that I am loved and I love you! And believe meee, it is not only on Valentine. That’s it for me. Have a glorious day!

Trust God with 2013!

Sometimes, you feel like the things that you want to hold on so dearly are really NOT what God wants you to rely on.
Yes, it looks and feels so spiritual, and it feels right, but then, still, God takes it away or so you thought at that period. What does a girl/woman do when the only person that she loves and cares about is “moving on, taking chances” without her this year? What does a girl/woman do when the only dream-career that she has ever believed is going through a downturn and fears that she will not be working in that institution?  What does a girl/woman do when she has to LET GO of the things that she thought mattered the most?

I would suggest: She needs to cry, and cry, and cry until she has no more tears left; let the grieving emotions out of her system.!!! And then pray keenly, pray like a desperate woman who wants out. And that includes telling God that you now completely trust in him; let God do his thing now. She needs to adopt a selfless attitude and rely on God’s standards and perspectives NOW.
This is not as easy as stated. Because you are required now to be totally dependent on God’s promises and plans. It is a trust without measure. It is an unutterable feeling that God has it all sorted out and guess what; it willl/is/was/ for your good. You won’t see the good now in the heartbreak, but you will see it eventually….. I have seen and experienced the good all the time!

To all those who thought you wouldn't make it or that your smile would not be so bright, and lovely. Well, it’s still there, you are here again, living on purpose and letting God do his thing! We are in a new year, and you are not only a conqueror, but you are MORE THAN a conqueror in Christ Jesus! Believe. Sacrifice. Expect. Pray. And DO! "Faith without works is dead."

Remember, you’re already amazing!!

 Love, Keshia.

To you.. Oh February :)

I may be a little early. But today is the beginning of a beautiful month, February, and that is because my true confidant was born on that day, 15th of February. So today, I dedicate my blog to him, and wow, I am so happy that he was created.  I know I am early, but this woman (me) is too excited!

So I decided to mention 26 things about my true confidant that I LOVE, who is also my significant other now ( yay!!):

1.       I love his smile. Especially when I know I am the reason for it. Makes me mellow all the time. "Your smiles makes it all better."

2.       I love that he loves God and makes him the ultimate priority in everything; number 1.

3.       I love that he is patient with me.

4.       I love that he knows that I am not “perfect.” So he accepts me with my blemishes and insecurities.

5.       I love that he is funny. He is even funnier without distractions or people. Just me.

6.       I love that he makes me happy.

7.       I love that he takes his time and energy in getting to know me without any grouchiness or maybe a little.

8.       I love that he shows that he loves and cares for my well-being in the easiest and sometimes unthinkable ways.

9.       I love that he is poetic and smart.

10.   I love that he has a sweet voice, and I love the way that he speaks and expresses himself. ( call me crazy!)

18.   I love that he thinks he can dance.

19.   I love that he is smooth and gentle.

20.   I love that he has charm that makes me feel warm when things seem so shattered.
