“ For we walk by faith, not by sight”
Cornelius quoted; “Walking by faith requires us to relinquish control over our lives and live solely for God." It requires you to be totally dependent on God. In contrary, walking by sight makes us rely on our thoughts/feelings/emotions and to make decisions by what we see. It is simply doing things our way!
God instructed that we walk by faith. That will include God putting you in places that you will least expect. A difference. As a current single lady, God does not want me to go around "looking" for a husband; he really does not want me to hunt for a man. God wants me to really focus on him; set my eyes on him and not “look” for someone I like. I remember reading this on a blog “We want to be in control of our lives. We want to find someone who we like rather than someone who God prefers for us to marry.” And that made me feel warm inside. Why? Because I have grown to have an unutterable trust in God, trust which never dreams that he will not stand by me. I have grown to depend on his decisions for my life. I am in a season where I want to rely completely on God’s plan, God's choices (which includes being someone’s wife someday.) Because relying on God encourages me to be focused, to stay connected in his word; the bible, to seek him day and night; through worship, and undistracted devotions, and to decree and declare daily who God says that I am.
I urge anyone who is reading this blog to walk by faith; get "eyes of faith" and stop walking by your emotions and feelings. Pray about it, do not go by your feelings or else you will be controlled for a very long time. Things don't just happen. The truth is, if you are not walking by faith, then you are simply limiting what God can do in your life. Trust that his plans for you are to prosper you, not to harm you and to give you an expected (anticipated) end. Now that’s beautiful!
